After dinner we all went to the Lake Clark National Park Visitor's Center for a slide show. The presentors were Erin McKittrick and Bretwood Higman of Ground Truth Trekking (www.groundtruthtrekking.org). This husband and wife team are making their way 4000 miles around the coast from Seattle to the end of the Aleutian Chain in Alaska. They are doing the entire trek by foot, ski and raft! So far, they are about 9 months into their trip and hope to finish in about another 3. Their endeavor is not something I'd EVER want to attempt, but it's pretty amazing to see their pictures and hear some of their stories!Monday, March 10, 2008
Dinner And A Show
In Port Alsworth, "dinner and a show" may have a bit of a different meaning than in many other parts of the world! This past Friday night, dinner was biscuits and gravy made by me and my mini-chefs, Elizabeth and Isaac.
