Winter Wonderland

For the first time in many years, we are having an awesome Alaskan winter! We have snow and ice, which makes for some fun outdoor adventuring. This past weekend we all went out for a snow-machine ride. We got up nearly to the Falls and then I brought a load of kids home (all but Ned and Lizzy) because we were all getting cold. By the time we got home, everyone in the sled was bawling and frozen. Some hot chocolate and graham crackers helped and we were able to count it as a fun adventure. Meanwhile, Leo, Ned, Lizzy and some friends continued on part way of Holy Mountain. They had a great ride and got home just in time for dinner. Miss Elizabeth would rather be out with her dad than doing anything else in the world!

The line up.

Jami and Steve, Micah and Ned and Leo

Neddy... pouts if he doesn't get to drive his own machine! I wanted to upload a few more photos of the other kids, but I'm headed to bed. Maybe tomorrow?! Anyway, we are thankful for the snow and for the opportunities we get to enjoy God's beautiful creation.

That is so awesome!! Sure wish we could enjoy some of that. Could you bottle it up and send some our way? We are still hitting mid 70's during the day but dropping into the 40s during the night.

Oh so beautiful! We were in MN for Thanksgiving and had only a few flurries and nothing sticking to the ground yet. The winter wonderland is so fun!
