Somewhere in Canada

Here is a copy of the email I sent out last Thursday (a week ago). If you are not on our email list, but would like to receive updates, please let me know:mennleo@hotmail.com. If you scroll down, there are lots of photos of our trip through Canada!

Hello All,

This is just quick note to let you know that we are about 30 minutes North of Ft. St. John. We have had a really good trip so far, although it's a lot colder than we thought it would be. We've been caught in snowstorms twice and our water seems to be frozen in the trailer now. The good news is that we have gone swimming twice (once at the Aquatic Center in Whitehorse and once at the Liard Hot Springs) so at least we're getting semi-clean!

Please pray for the Brendemuhls, especially Deborah. The whole family has taken turns having the stomach flu and now they are on their way to the ER in Fort St. John with Deborah. She has had hives and swollen joints and is now starting to have difficulty breathing. I know it is very stressful and scary for them. We are at The Shepherd's Inn where we got fuel and water and dinner and then will join them at the hospital.

We praise the Lord for safe travels thus far and for an awesome trailer (other than the frozen water!). With the slide out, we have tons of room and are staying warm and cozy at night.

I must admit I've gotten teary several times, missing family and friends in Port Alsworth. Know that we miss you all!!! On the other hand, the closer we get to the border, the more excited we're getting about seeing everyone in the States! We're still hoping to get to Arlington, WA sometime on Saturday.

Thank you SO much for your prayers and please keep it up! We love you all and will be in touch again soon.

Blessings~ Leo, Menda and Crew
The whole gang, ready to go. We finally left Anchorage about 8:45 pm, Sunday, April 19th.

The youngest driver in the Brendemuhl motorhome :)

We saw so many bison. Ned could actually tell you the exact number. He's got it all written down in his "little black book". It was really neat to see them along the road.

Two different mornings we woke up to new snow. I was not prepared for it! What kind of an Alaskan am I, anyway?!

This is one of our first breakfasts in our trailer.

Woohoo! This picture is for Carlon :)

Rylea at Liard Hot Springs. Susan's got the good pictures of our whole group together!

Canonball Kaiden!

Malachi enjoyed the hot springs, and then enjoyed being out and warm and dry.
