Scio, Oregon

We were in Scio from May 3rd through the 10th. We stayed at our cousins, the Straws and had a wonderful week there! The kids all got to take turns riding Rebekah's horse, Missy.

One afternoon we had lunch with my Aunt Dona Jo. She kept us well-fed on the road with jars of homemade jam and fresh canned fruit!

We were able to visit the Gorely Dairy Farm one rainy day. The kids got to help milk the cows and then feed the calves their bottles. It was a great learning experience for them and a very nice family to show us around their farm.

This is Mother's Day, just before we left. Here are the children with the Straw family and grandparents! The lady on the very right is my Aunt Joyce, who is my grandpa Elliott's baby sister :)

Jennifer and her grandma took the kids "mushroom hunting". They picked a bunch of super tasty mushrooms that we ate for lunch! What a wonderful week!
