We had high hopes of a sunny beach party, but it started raining right at lunch time, which was when everyone was supposed to show up. So, we unpacked our picnics in my mom's kitchen and ate inside instead. The kids didn't care, they were just glad to be having a party!
Elizabeth wanted "Ratatouille" stuff for her birthday and Zoe had little pet shop things. To make it extra random, all the goodies were barnyard themed :)
Except for Lizzy's special birthday cookie from Aunt Kristy. It was gingerbread and as yummy as it was cute!
Sonnet made a piggy cake and super good ice cream sandwiches. They were in the shapes of cows and pigs- so cute and SO tasty!
Elizabeth was excited about her presents

Kaiden was excited about the party favors! God was good and the sun broke through the clouds in time for us to go outside for the pinata and even some swimming! Of course, my camera battery died before all that, but we ended up having a beautiful, sunny afternoon.
Happy Half Birthday, Lizzy Lou!!!

Happy Birthday to Lizzy Lou!
Just looked at all the pix, and Cristiana names the kids one by one as she sees them. :-)
I like the idea of a half birthday for Lizzy. We have done a half birthday with Cristiana since she was six months old, but just buying a book and a fun outing of some sort. Nothing like the one for Lizzy. How special for her to have that all by itself and not mixed all up with Christmas. Still special that she can share that time with Jesus as well, but different now that she has her “own”.
I am really wishing we were there this year. Lots of memories are flooding through my mind as I watch the kids in their summer stuff, the planes on the lakes, the Falls, the beach picnics, etc.
Missing you all! <>< Michelle for us all
