Happily Home

The third time's a charm... we hope! The first time we had Malachi was in August, when he was three months old. We had him with us in Anchorage for three days before we had to "return" him to his previous fostermom due to a technicality in licensing. He and his Amma have had a special bond right from the start.

The second time we brought Malachi home was in September. He was 5 months old at that time. Below is a photo of him with Nezzie, Isaac and Kaiden- my three preschoolers. This time when we brought him home, it was for 6 months to the day.

Last night Malachi came home for the third time. When he saw me he was pleasant, but when he saw all of his brothers and sisters he was ecstatic-laughing and smiling and loving being home. He just turned 11 months old and we hope this time, he is here to stay! He has slipped right back into his old routine. Leo said to me last night, "I wonder what he thinks that whole week was about." Maybe just a bad dream?! We're thankful for the good care he received while he was away from us, but it's just SO good to have him HOME!
