Trip To Town

We started off our week of appointments at the Cornerstone Clinic for travel immunizations. Rylea and Isaac were highly entertained (until I took it away!) by the Pregnancy Magazine they found in the lobby. Most of us had already had the yellow fever vaccination, so only Samuel and Malachi had to get that. The six youngest kids had to also get the typhoid vaccination. The rest of us had taken it orally, which is good for five years, so we were good to go.

Tuesday was the day we spent at the pediatrician. Here are the four youngest in for their physicals.

We had a quick lunch break between appointments and were eating near the playground at the hospital. Our friend, Stevie Hobson, is a security guard there at the hospital and came over to say hello while we were having lunch. Leo had told Isaac to stop throwing rocks and he wasn't obeying very well. So when Stevie came over we told him to get his hand cuffs out. We called Isaac over and Stevie told him very sternly that he was not to throw any more rocks. That got Isaac's attention and his eyes were huge :) Too bad there aren't more men in uniform around when we need them!

Wedsnesday was our day at the dentist. Even Malachi had his exam and did great! The dentists were very patient with all of their observers :)

Thursday was spent at the optometrist and Friday everyone had to get a blood draw to figure out their blood types. The kids were SO good and most of them didn't fuss at all. We were hoping to come home on Friday, but the weather was bad, so we finally got home Saturday afternoon. Here is Isaac (wearing Nezzie's fleece) all ready to go with his ear plugs in. So thankful for a good and productive trip to town.
